STOP STOPPING

I want to break you
like the gingerbread man’s head.
Snap.
The frisky crispiness
sounds like a victory,
so I’m clapping high fives
to myself,
knowing that it’s the only way
anyone will be proud of me.
I ask you to do things
that make my eyes roll back
and my toes curl up,
but you look so stunned
and just stare at me.
Stop stopping, I say.
You and me –
we have no time
for idle moments
like this.

I love this window into your life, owl, you so generously provide us. If you want me to give him a pep talk about taking control, let me know. πŸ˜‰

Ooh…love this…I wrote a poem back in my teenage years that bordered on violence (like the snapping of the gingerman head)…so I understand that passionateness…great poem, Chatty!

Ahhh! You Sweet Precious Trophy! Don’t you know a great mind will realize your brilliance. That is how I know your day will come! “The only way someone will be proud of me”. It makes me tear up! Wrong! Absolutely Wrong! But super honest and intimate.and a very personal view inside. Thanks so much for putting down in the words that only you can! Wow! claudy
