“You are twisted
and your tongue permanently tastes of cherries” –
you say,
but I just tie cherry knots
with my fruit-infused tongue,
and laugh at your complaints
of my unapproved manner.

You collect seashells and listen to them,
when you get home,
and it upsets you,
when I say,
that you’re listening
to the sound of your own blood.

You bite your lip
and draw some of that red juice,
as if proving the point
that I’m wrong.

Well, I’m not.

So I just carry on
twisting my tongue
around those cherry stems.

You said maybe just a couple days ago that you hardly get inspired lately. But your poems always feel like they were written so effortlessly. By the way, my internet is very slow at the moment it doesn’t load the ‘like’ button, but of course I like your poem hehe πŸ˜€

I understand this was sexually enticed & provoked but, it had a rare effect on me, a meaning slightly in the oneness of two; your understanding of him & vise versa, that takes observing & intentional affection ~ You’re wonderful sweet gal!
