You put words in my mouth
instead of placing fingers
there.
I let screams of anger,
when I should be shouting curses
of
ultimate pleasure.
Loud screeching noises
and
sounds of carnivore hunger
get mixed up in my mind,
while fading away into the fog
around us,
and like a sadistic siren
I enjoy
every single moment
that crows spend picking
on your heart.
I
should be burning your tongue
with mine,
but instead
I’m burning memories of us,
because scattered ashes
is the best way
to end it.
– Chatty Owl –
Wow, reading this was truly a cathartic experience for me and even though I wanted to turn away and stop reading my eyes wouldn’t let me, they knew I deserved to read every word and Im thankful I did!
Thats such a powerful reaction to my words! Thank you, dear.
As if there was any other kind of reaction one could have after reading your words!
“The owl” does it again. *sigh*
PS About a week ago, someone clicked on almost every gravatar in the like list of one of my posts (including you) and I see they popped up here. Those marketers will stop at nothing.
Really? Haven’t noticed to be honest.. Nice to see you visiting me though š
Out…fucking…standing
Excellent!!
Now thats a comment that made me grin š thanks so much!
I’ve had to swallow hard!
Always so strong and powerful! Fantastic way to put the stamp on the end. Could feel the the words shouted at me with angry pleasure to finally have moved on from.
“Iām burning memories of us,
because scattered ashes
is the best way
to end it.”
Always the best way!
So glad you liked that ending! I wasn’t sure about it š thanks dear.

We are always overwhelmed by something in our daily lives.
I wish you a good Tuesday.
Greetings

Thanks so much! Its great to see you stopping by. Always a pleasure. Hope you have a great Tuesday too!
Burn that forest of memories to the ground and watch the embers glow.
Thanks dollface!
It is sadder when bitterness overpowers the lingering flavors of love. Wonderfully written.
I think it happens quite often. We get overpowered by bitter feelings and insecure anger and passion just dies amongst those things..
gorgeously written and so very real.
*sigh* yes..
Muscularly powerful and direct, wholly felt in the words.
Im glad you thought “direct” was a positive factor š
Definitely. Regardless of their intensity I much rather the 2 words of “Just ask” or “Just say” rather than depending on the mind-reading network having 5 bars. Playing scorpions in the desert dancing in circles around on eggshells is… pfft kinda thing š
Now im smiling big! Thanks.
Rockin’ you’re welcomes! Thanks for your missile locked words. Dead on. As Bruce Lee might say if popped in the nose… “Nice contact.”
Moving and forceful expression…
Thank you.. Glad to have evoked reaction..
Painful in both an arousing and upsetting way
Thats how my days usually are.
Mine too…
Visceral
Yes.
i like the raw images that collide in your poem. thank you for sharing it with me today. tony
Thanks so much for stopping by and actually taking time to read! Means a lot to me. Glad you enjoyed it too!
mmm. powerful. Intense antipathy ending in cleansing fire. I love it.
Thats how i wanted.. Cleansing fire and a fresh start š
The want of passion not there leads to letting go… I can so relate to this
So glad others relate.. Hope to always keep you interested!
